Um, I'm 46 too and I've been sleeping with a guy who's now 59 for years. |
I'll tell you what - it's power and accomplishment. Plain and simple. I'm not interested in a 30 year old guy who's just starting his career. |
| I'm 42, my last fling was 26. Yup, cougar-ish, because I only dated him for the benefits. |
| What would you rather be called, a cougar or a milf? |
| MILF by far!! |

23:24 PP here. I'm 39 and wouldn't have a problem dating a guy who was 34 or older. I've dated guys as old as 51, but I've found that most guys in their late 40's or more are just too old for me. My tastes in a lot of things skew younger - I know all the popular music, like younger TV shows, etc. I'm very physically active and have a lot of energy so a lot of older guys are not going to keep up with me. But I have younger brothers, so I end up acting very maternal/big-sister-ish with guys younger than about 32.
I actually get hit on more by younger guys than by guys in their 40's. A lot of the early 40-something guys I know don't want to date women my age - they're hitting on women under 35. They say they want kids, but not right away, which always makes me want to call BS because I think they're really just looking for an excuse to date much-younger women.

You know, I've always found that type to be funny, a '40-something guy, still in the dating pool, who wants to have kids SOMEDAY'. When is that day going to come, when you are 60? |
| 16:37 PP here. A friend of mine recently started dating a guy who is in his early 40's and has older kids. friend is mid-30's, no kids. They met online. He and I got to talking about online dating and he said, "Honestly, guys my age say they "might" want kids someday even if they don't so they can date younger women." I have 40-something guy friends who reject my late 30's friends because they're anxious to have kids, but then they pursue my younger 30's friends so they can have kids "someday." It drives me batty, but oh well. |
