What are your hobbies? Need to find some new ones!

Anonymous
With a 3yo and a 5 month old I don't have time for my hobbies. But I used to sew a lot. I also used to be in a book club before we moved here. Come to think of it, I should find a new book club to join. Does anyone have tips on how to find them/join/start a new one?

Once the kids are older and we have more money, I would LOVE to take sailing lessons, also riding lessons and rock climbing. A goal I set for myself was to start training for a triathlon after dc#2 was born. Haven't done that. . .sigh.

i took up embroidery last winter. It's surprisingly easy and inexpensive. Can do it in front of the TV.

Roller derby. Playing, not watching. Very cathartic.

It so happens that she had very few hobbies until recently, so I guess that partly explains her rotten attitude.

OP, what about something you enjoyed growing up? Ballet, dance, tennis, piano, whatever. You are smart to avoid becoming old and bitter

Totally agree with this! I started doing gymnastics again last year...and amazingly, it's NOT just for kids under 15.
