What are your hobbies? Need to find some new ones!

I need to find some new hobbies. What are some of yours? Do you have time to do them as a parent?

Painting, piano. I have much more time now that kids are teens. It was hard to do when they were in early elementary and younger.

I need hobbies too, I am so boring!

What kind of painting do you do? Do you take classes or do it on your own?

Moms get to have hobbies??

I think moms get to have hobbies. Moms take their kids to art lessons, music lessons, etc. I know some kids who go to lessons/classes three times a week. Why can't moms do those things too? I want to take adult ed classes.

Does sleeping count? Of course, there's no time for that hobby.

Reading, walking, my dog (if you consider him a 'hobby', which I don't, just that I spend my free time with him), other pets. I am thinking about doing an EMT Basic course this fall that requires a two-year commitment (course is free then you have to volunteer for two years).

Oh, and a book club (part of the reading hobby). Helps me be more social, too.

Reading, running, going out to coffee with friends, and lots of mom's nights with wine.

I need some real hobbies too. Preferably some that do not involve volunteering at my children's schools.

I wish I lived on the water so I could windsurf or paddleboard or do something fun and athletic.

Camping and hiking too.

What are your interests, OP? Indoors, out? Are you creative?

There are great cooking classes in the area.

If time and money were not problems, I'd take sailing classes (did this a couple years ago and it was soooo much fun), get a road bike, and go to wine events. I'd have more dinner parties if we had a nicer place.

Does websurfing count? I like cooking, too.
