did you cut your hair?

Shorter hair can be more maintenance....

I just got mine cut--from mid-back to just below the shoulders. When the stylist blew it out, it looked fantastic and chic. When I blew it out, it looks bushy and unkempt. This is where "mom hair" comes from: I don't have 45 minutes to blow dry my hair straight, I have 5 minutes. So I think I have mom hair now.

Wash/blow dry hair at night and use a high quality hair straightener in the morning. I have a Sedu which has a rounded edge and allows you to also curl your hair. I use a dry shampoo between washings so I don't have to wash it everyday.

I didn't cut it, got used to hair pulling until DD stopped, DS now starting .

I have always had long hair, down to my middle back. My hair is one of my best features and since I lost my size 2 figure, I'm keeping the hair.

I got a Keratin treatment which drastically pared down drying time and time spent fixing it when curly.

My short hair-do is high maintenance! Think Halle Berry....I need to get it done every 3.5 - 4 weeks by my fabulous guy in Georgetown, add color and highlights and that is $250 per month, minimum, But I love it.

I don't get it. I have long hair and never spend more than 10 min styling it. It looks great. I only get it cut every three months and I dye it at home. What's high maintenance about that?

I wash every 2-3 days, mostly in the evening or before bed and let it air dry while sleeping. In the morning I put a little water on it and comb it out and put style cream on the ends. Sometimes I flat iron the top (5-10 min tops) or set it in hot rollers (5 to roll, leave in 10 min, while eating breakfast). On the third day I might do a polished ponytail or a nice braid.

I had short hair for years and my husband hated it, I had to cut it every month, and the ends never went the right way--totally a PIA.

I have always worn a shoulder length bob, with some slight variations. When my kids were pulling on my hair, I would say no and immediately put them down. They caught on pretty fast. I haven't worn earrings or a nice shirt in years though.

For a long time, I had waist-length hair. Then I cut it to just below my shoulders because I thought I looked more professional (and I still do...now I shudder at how long my hair was!). When I got pregnant, my hair grew FAST. I kept getting it trimmed, but by the time I had DC, it was two inches or so below my bra strap. I love it because I can do anything with it! DC pulled on it at first, but that stopped pretty quickly. I would never have hair that I couldn't pull back or put up.

I just lost my long hair to chemo. I cannot wait gor it to grow again. Very traumatic.
