Spike's restaurants are great. And yes, of course DC is a second-tier city. Why freak out over it? Move to NY, SF, LA, London, Paris, etc., if you want to be in a first-tier city.

DC is a second tier city, and not just in regards to food.
Its no London, NYC or Barcelona - not by a long shot.
