Are you as obsessed with the Royal Wedding as I am?

I just love the spectacle and ceremony part of it. Plus, I think they are just a very sweet, as normal as you can be in this situation couple.

Exactly the whole world watched and see how both ended.

So, you think the world watching their weddings is what messed up those marriages? Come on - that is ridiculous.

Again, they seem like a very sweet and loving couple. They've been living together for several years now. This is not an arranged marriage. They've done this all on their own terms.

Sure, they could have eloped. But what fun would THAT be?

I get that people think the royal family is silly. Frankly, they are - they don't really serve a purpose anymore. And if you're not interested, don't watch. But this is a big deal, whether you like it or not.

I'm more excited than my wife is!

I'm getting up @ 530am (close to my normal wakeup time, when the royal family enters) and will watch until about 715am when they emerge from Westminster Abbey. I might get up earlier, but the earliest would be when foreign dignitaries start coming up.

It helps that I've already scheduled the day off (for non-wedding reasons, LOL).

I'm assuming the gown is top secret until we see her come down the aisle.

I had tears in my eyes when they read their vows. It reminded me of my own wedding. I think William is a class act.

Her dress was ordinary.
Flower girls could have been more colorful.
A bit drab.
Rumor has it that they toned it down because of the economic situation in Britain. Nothing like opulence or extravagance of the very rich to remind the poor of their situation.

PP, please show me an "extraordinary" wedding gown that's not tacky or edgy. There's only so much you can do with monochrome lace and silk and satin.

I thought the bride looked lovely and timeless. Like Grace Kelly, this WON'T be one of those dresses we'll look at in 30 years and say "gawd, what were they thinking back then??"

I didn't get interested in it untill a week ago. I do remember being a little girl and watching Di get married and being in awe of it. Having two little girls I look forward to us cuddling up on the couch to watch a real live fairy tale come true. Sounds dorky, but it's fun when something comes along to let you go all-out girly.

It makes her look even older than she does already. It's a horrible dress. It's only timeless if timeless means ugly. Her sister, Pippa, looked beautiful though.

It was matronly.
However, I am not that critical of the dress, but there was little color...just red, white and blue. This is spring! The flower girls could have taken on some colr. Some were quite young, three years old.
