What will my guests say about the menu in our party?

Offer crackers or potato chips and dip as an alternative for those who might not like tortilla chips and salsa.

PLEASE NO MORE JUICE BOXES!!! Believe it or not, some of us parents hate for our kids to drink that crap.

I love the lemonade idea. It's as if someone actually had a fresh thought.

??

What's the difference between juice boxes (that contain 100% juice) and LEMONADE? Same sugar, same "crap," just presumably not in a box.

Why would you think that? And also Lemonade made from scratch has a ton of sugar so much so that I would not offer it to my 4 yr old.

If you don't really want to serve food, have the party at 2 or 4. I'd recommend 4 because 2 is prime naptime for a lot of 1-3 year-olds. you might also want to add a veggie/dip platter either way.

At 11:30, I'd expect more - real food - at least for the kids. You can do mini sandwiches (make sandwiches, cut into quarters. Or order a pizza. Or even mini hotdogs if you aren't worried about being healthy. I'd bring a fruit tray and veggie tray.

As far as drinks. I'd do water and juice boxes with 100% juice. Not sure why the one poster is a such a fan of lemonade (and hates juice)- as its just sugar water. But if money is a factor, you could do a large container of lemonade and/or juice and one of water. Reason I use juice boxes is less spillage for the kids. But our parties are very small.

I went to a 1pm park party recently and they served cake and fresh fruit. They had apple juice, water and soft drinks for adults. It was totally fine but we all had lunch before we left. Most parties we got to do pizza plus appetizers.
