The principal and PTA have to give it the OK, plans are drawn up and reviewed by a division of the Department of Park and Planning, the company has to get a special exception for zoning, and the superintendant makes the final decision, Wilson said.
At Whitman Principal Goodman withdrew his support for the tower and that put an end to it.
In addition there is a petition for a special exemption due to the tower being too close to the neighboring park land. These are usually rubber stamped. No one in our government cares about the kids.
