There are worse things than sad pandas.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming (except half of you probably don't even remember that! *smacks head*).

I'm sorry, but my tiny-ness is a function of my very small inner id voice that is drowned out daily by my children and dh and boss and kitteh, and dozens? of biggger louder DCUM posters. It is an aside voice--imagine it as squeaky and persistent. Yes, sometimes annoying. You are nice, so i make-a myself a leetle bigger for you.

Sad Panda will sit on pee-stained concrete for 5 more years. Just like in olde-timey days in China...Thanks Mr. China!

Pandas have a huge natural habitat. At one point they covered around 15-20% of China. Today most of them live in the mountains, so I don't think pandas mind the cold.

Covered it like a rug? 15% of China was plush comfort underfoot?

I am sorry I missed those days.

During the cultural revolution days, everywhere you stepped, it was upon a sad panda pelt.

Even at the dry cleaners, Sad Panda was king.

Is this the part where you augment the panda drama with historical subtext? tread lightly, panda realist.

Thank you, tiny poster. I will try to figure this out. I totally get the id inner voice, and my nearly-geriatric eyes appreciate the tiny bit bigger font. Now to figure out that image thing. xoxo, the dino

Have you seen pandas in China? While I'm no fan of zoos, this may be an exception. Pandas may have roamed wild in China in days long ago, but not any longer. Go to China and see pandas, even in the fancy preserves and you will be standing about 5 feet away. They literally put their food on a small wooden stage and all of the trees in the very small enclosure are wrapped with metal. Their cement cages have glass windows facing the gift shop. Pandas, unfortunately, would never survive in the wild now in China. But to be in captivity in D.C.'s zoo is 100 times better than being in captivity in China. Trust me.

Sounds like sad panda would rather not live in China. Why not in the North China Woods? China is very big. Why does every thing have to be so small there? Is it because of the 'tiger mothers'?
