Never had this happen.

Yes it does.

Pp on a different rant. Yes, I collected for the underpaid janitors at Christmas during covid. It happens.

Not thanking a volunteer coach for your kid is appallingly rude.

You can thank a volunteer coach by saying thank you, or writing a thank you card. If a volunteer coach is in it for the gift rather than the love of the game, then they shouldn't be volunteering.

BS They may do it because they enjoy the game, but they put up with a lot, from mouthy kids, to disrespectful parents, and they are volunteering. Sending Jennifer $25 for venmo for a group gift to show appreciation is not hard.

NP and no. If someone else is doing the favor of taking the donations, you adjust to them. Cash and Venmo are king. Grow up and get Venmo.

Nope. Not getting Venmo

Then...get some cash. Its not hard.

Maybe say “..for electronic payments, I only take Venmo.”

Saying you take Venmo is specific enough. People will still ask for something else because that’s what people do.

I’ve heard some people use Venmo as the generic expression for electronic payment. Kind of like some people say Kleenex for tissues, etc.

I have not. People are usually very specific-Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, etc. Each a separate app with separate login hassles.

Don't ask about Zelle. We are telling you, you are being ill-mannered and annoying. Contribute in a way convenient to the person doing all the work, or don't, but don't ask if you can pay in shekels.

Nobody cares. So anyway, if Venmo doesn’t work for you, pay with cash. The kind person organizing the effort offered two ways: pick one.

“But onnnneeeee timmmmmmmeeeeee I looost my ATM card and I couldn’t get casshhhhhh”…
