For a dose of happy, songs by BTS made me happy during some of my darkest times. They are so wholesome and so are the lyrics. Home, Make It Right, and Save Me. Their Tiny Desk too:

Anpanman because grown men jumping on a bouncy house. They looked like they were having so much fun.

“You’ve got a friend” sung by James Taylor, written by Carol King. I cry every time I hear it.

I have never listened to “You’ll Never Walk Alone” without crying.

Seconding this. Was my late mom’s favorite song.

For me it’s Carry On Wayward Son, because it was played at the funeral of a friend who killed himself the summer after we graduated from high school.

Anonymous wrote:If I saw you in heaven, Eric Clapton. Maybe because it’s about his preschooler son dying in a tragic accident but that one makes me absolutely bawl. It’s a beautiful song but I just can’t listen to it.

And this one I feel dumb about but for some reason the Green Day Time of Your Lfe sort of gets to me.

This also makes me think of when I played Danny Boy for my son when he was little and he burst out in loud sobs like an old drunk Irishman. I was very startled but it was pretty funny. He’s very empathic. He also could not listen to that I Lava You song without sobbing.

Same re “I Saw You in Heaven” and “Good Riddance”. And, don’t get me started on Danny Boy” lol
