I have a neat triangle, i trim with scissors and use an electric razor for the sides. However, when I first was dating my husband, I was using nair. He admitted to me after the first few times we had sex that he thought he might be "allergic" to me, or possibly I had some sort of infection, since his groin started to burn and feel itchy after we had sex. ? Of course I was mortified, went to the ob/gyn, got all the tests, etc. We ultimately figured out it was the Nair (he has really sensitive skin)

Another mid 30's who only shaves during bathing suit season and have wondered if there was something more most people my age are doing. I agree that totally bare seems strange in that is makes you look like we did when we were young girls- why is that the popular look? As some point, I hope the trend returns to grooming not getting rid of it all to look like a 10 yr old. That creeps me out- I understand people say it makes them feel sexier, but the fact that partners like it makes me uncomfortable. Seems sad that getting rid of hair makes people feel sexier but whatever works.

22:13 ITA with you - creeps me out and I'd worry about a guy turned on by it.

yeah I agree, there is a happy medium for most of us over the age of 12.

I'm in my mid 30s and really don't do anything other than shave my bikini line in the summer. The rest of the year it's pretty natural. I did a full Brazilian once before a romatic getaway with my husband. I went to a reputable place that a coworker recommended, but the woman did a terrible job. I looked like road kill down there, and my husband wasn't exactly impressed. Won't be doing that again!

I don't think it's about looking prepubescent. I think it's about keeping hair out of your man's mouth.

So does your man reciprocate?

Visit Spa on the Hill, I am the resident expert on bikini waxing. There are many options as far as how much hair is removed and after a few minutes of conversation, you are out the door. Results usually last 4-6 weeks and then you dont have to worry about anything until your follow-up appointment. Second option is to use personal trimmers. Shaving is tricky and is not a good choice for your skin "down there". - Arnetta

I'm not the pp you quoted, but my husband's penis is thankfully long enough that I don't get hair in my mouth while engaging in oral sex. The same is not true for a woman.
