Frederique Constant, less expensive than Rolex

Another vote for Breitling - they have a great boutique at City Center if you want to see their collection in person. Tiny Jewel Box will have a broader range of Panerai, IWC, etc., that are nice alternatives to Rolex, and the Omega store is right next door.

For something unique with great history of watchmaking, I’d recommend Jaeger-LeCoultre, Breguet, or step it up to Vacheron. The watch brands I listed are available and represent fantastic watchmaking.

Can you please explain how this works? Do you buy the watch you want or do you buy the watch they want to sell? What if you don't want that watch?

There simply aren’t any Patek Philippe watches available for a customer even with a decent purchase history of other brands (e.g. Rolex, Omega, Cartier, etc…) to buy. The average waitlist for a Patek Philippe is @ 4yrs unless you’re willing to buy from a grey market dealer at 2x the price. Patek makes roughly 60K annually and the demand is far outweighs availability.

Longines is crap. Tudor is a good cheaper choice.

I've seen people wear one type of watch on each wrist.

I just wear a regular watch. My iPhone does enough and I dont' need an apple watch.
