Lots of fed job postings

I think if they could just give us one day of telework a week it would make a huge difference.

Not applying until they remove the KSA where you have to say how much you love smelling the president’s farts.

It's not a KSA, they are optional. I did not answer them and was still offered a Federal job, which I ultimately wound up declining for personal reasons (my son had unexpected medical issues and I wanted to keep the flexibility of where I currently am in light of them).

Be careful, they are posting positions at my agency, but most of the HR staff has been RIFed, so there is no one there to complete the hiring process in an even semi timely way.

Not only are they optional, the selecting official doesn’t even see them. (I just finished doing a selection for my office.)

As the original question, I’m a 20 year fed attorney. I hate my job a little more every day.

+1, 5 days a week is awful and has made the traffic a nightmare compared to what it was before.

+1…also at a FinReg and am exhausted by the 5 days a week. I see the benefits of a hybrid schedule but a little flexibility would be life changing. One day a week would do a lot for employee morale. Instead it’s the work avoiders who are submit questionable RAs getting flexibility.

Based on what I’m hearing from my friends who stayed at my agency, I’d say, no, it hasn’t improved enough for me to consider going back.

And that is exactly why it isn't going to happen. With the exception of a few select functions they really do want to break the fed govt.

Then they really need to crack down on the RAs. Totally out of control right now. My agency is technically back 5 days/week, but you'd never know it by walking the halls on any given day.

In a lot of agencies they are just straight up not even looking at the RAs. In some cases the RA staff has been RIF'd and in other they just let them sit in the queue. There are even press reports about this, maybe your agency is an exception.

Am surprised, as religious RAs are a priority for this administration.

Not surprised. My agency is bleeding people because of the administration. Anyone who is s anywhere close to retirement is either gone or leaving.

What agency is this? It’s nearly impossible to get an RA at my agency.

DOGE and constant government shutdowns have done generations of damage. So many smart talented people who would be willing to work in the federal government for less pay than they could get elsewhere knowing that at least they had stable employment, are now going to see the federal government as a risky endeavor in case an administration comes in that wants to "inflict trauma" on them.
