I think not.

Was it:

Gpa irrelevant
Course selection irrelevant
Rigor irrelevant
Relevant background irrelevant
Essay on the best thing you think Biden did relevant
Supporting Biden relevant

Rejecting people in general - happens all the time. It is on this basis it is objectionable

GPA is not the be all end all C's get degrees and I'd prefer to have people in the legal field who aren't focused on left wing activism.

Is there a preference for "pool boys"?

Gpa along with other meritorious metrics should be the basis…and certain advertising to all kids. Do you want someone to say the exact opposite of your view (and implement it) when Dems take over (so that right wing students are overlooked)?

I read an article about this, and it included interviews with some employees from previous administration who were never asked about their affiliation in any way.

Clearly not illegal for federal appointees. DH was up for a very high level position within DoD. He has never posted anything political on any social media, was extremely well qualified, and got through all gatekeepers until the final one where they do a search to make sure that you are a Trump supporter. Meaning posting pro Trump, liking pro Trump postings, donating. Failed on that. Post is still open 6 months later.

Appointees are political positions, interns are not.

Liberty University’s law school sent students an email about summer internships and said the most important thing is that applicants “MUST be aligned politically with President Trump and his administration.”

The email told students that “GPA is not a strong factor.”

Students who get interviews will reportedly face traditional questions along with political ones, including whether they voted for Trump, whether they disagree with him on anything, and what they think about specific executive orders.

With the current hiring climate AND Trump eliminating DEI bc meritocracy should be the only consideration….

Thoughts?

Seems on brand to me? It's Liberty. No one takes it seriously. The only work its graduates will be able to find will be in the every-shrinking right-wing griftmill.

And THIS is the correct response. 99% Acceptance rate. Main thing you have to do is demonstrate you're aligned with the school's philosophy. I'm beyond curious about who actually "teaches' there. I'd never want this school on my resume.

My friend took the bar in Virginia and said she was chatting with some Liberty grads during the lunch break and they did not know about the separation of church and state. Like literally did not know it is enshrined in the Constitution.

Um, it isn't. The Constitution doesn't mention separating church and state anywhere. What are you talking about?

MAGA tend to be objectively stupid, so lack of skills and being a dipshit probably explains that moreso than any partian politics. This is particularly true of MAGA youth.

Liberty is not the employer seeking interns.

That, and like everything MAGAs say, this is a lie.
