Yeah I'm not sure why people keep saying this. It's not abusive it's just the coaches first time coaching a team so they don't really understand how to connect with the kids. Either way I'm going to try to get through the rest of the season working on some short term goals to at least go out on a positive note. Spring in the past has been a hot mess after tryouts and the shake out from that and I suspect it will be even more so this year. |

If the original commitment included the spring season, I would require my child to finished the season. (We somewhat faced this last year, but the kid is now even more committed to soccer. Can’t keep up with them.)
If you decide to disengage with the team, I would require the child to be fully committed at least through any early spring tournaments. Will there be an issue of being disruptive or detrimental to the team from here through summer if you stay with the team? |
