Bahahahaha!!! Are you for real? They just started playing. It's not as if they have had time to bounce around. "Developed at Bethesda." Pffffffttt. They haven't even started developing yet, sweet summer child. |
I take it your child wasn’t picked for the top team? |
Lol. "Wheels appear to have fallen off" --> perhaps all this winning with athleticism at younger ages stunts actual development? When they get older the lack of technical development shows... Stop focusing on how good you think your u-little team is and start focusing on whether they are actually learning how to play soccer. |
LOL!!! Try harder, nerd. Now, go back to getting steamed up over this team 10 year old "powerhouse". |

Bethesda 2013 and 2014s have struggled because of departures.
A lot of kids developed at Bethesda are now the best players at SYC, Achilles, etc. or have even moved overseas. Can hate all you want but they are doing something right at Bethesda at the young ages. Will be interesting to see if they can keep it up with departure of Coach SM. |
| At this age, a decent goalkeeper and 4 strong outfield players will get you endless W's |
Yes, it's called volume of players drawn early to a name-brand When you have 5 or 6 teams per age group and cherry pick the best for your top team, you'll have lots of U-littles W's |
This is the most accurate assessment and comes from another BSC parent. This post is embarrassing but that is the ego of these 2015-2017 parents. A tale as old as time. This post won’t age well. |
This is true. |
| We were at this tournament and saw Bethesda play. Yes they were very good. As someone who is relatively new to club soccer can someone explain how they can be so good at such a young age? I thought we had a strong team, but clearly this was not the case. |
Its really as simple as the most talented soccer athletes within say a 50 mile radius choosing to play on that team. Its not really about anything else because their B team isnt even good, so its not the club. |
If only it was that simple! I'm not a parent on that team or connected to BSC in any way, but I've seen them play and know what I'm talking about. They are well-coached and the environment seems fun and positive. So they enjoy playing, which is the most important thing! They play in a style that will help them in the future. They are not just a bunch of big guys for their age, but they do seem exceptionally determined. They are making the most of their indoor training facility to improve their technical skills and that gives them the freedom to play with more possession. I'd say a lot is attributable to the coaching - and the coaches are not typical BSC coaches in terms of their attitude. If I had a kid in this age group, I'd be trying to get them on this team. |
Are they sponsored by Krispy Kreme? |
| Funny enough, another parent mentioned this site to me and said our team was being discussed. As a parent, I can confidently say that Coach T is outstanding and consistently goes above and beyond his responsibilities. He’s firm when needed, but he also gives the players the freedom to make mistakes and learn from them which is so important for their development. The majority of our players have come up through the Bethesda system, and it shows in their style of play and team chemistry. At this point, we’re even considering playing up full-time because, right now, there isn’t much competition at our age group. |
Will you be in the Champions League next year? |
