I pray you consulted with an attorney about this. Worker misclassification is no joke. You can't just 1099 someone and then treat them like an employee.
I have had multiple staff members get flabbergasted when there's a meeting or event on their birthday. Like the entire office should cancel business in honor of the occasion?
