The rehab therapist I worked with had me using ankle weights to build back strength, last week I pulled them out and paired them with the bike, worked pretty good. |
+1. The nice thing about the treadmill for mindless activity is that you can set the speed. With bikes and rowers I tend to get involved in the story and slack on the excercise. |
| Go old school with a Nordic Track ski machine. You can get one on FB Marketplace for less than $200, so if after a month you decide you hate it (there's a learning curve), you haven't wasted much money. |
| I wonder if you shouldn't just buy a day pass at a gym and try out a bunch of stuff, so you know what kind of equipment you like. Given that it's a pretty big investment I think you should really try it out first. |
