Pls recommend your exercise bike or other machine for home exercise...

Anonymous
I work from home and would like to get a machine to exercise on for 30 minutes here and there. I grew up with a treadmill in the house that we never used. I am thinking an exercise bike would be better since I can mindlessly ride it while watching tv, etc. Can someone recommend their specific exercise bike or other home exercise equipment?

Concept 2 rowing machine (or erg)

I love getting my steps on my treadmill. I’m sorry yours wasn’t used when you grew up, not sure what that has to do with your adulthood. I turn on a tv show or open a book for 15 minutes twice a day and it gets me over 4000 steps

I loved my Peloton bike so much I got a Tread+, which I love equally.
The programming and classes are great, and I really like the equipment. (But you don't have to do a class, you can just ride or walk or run.)
Get the extended warranty and you'll not have to worry about anything for years!

Echelon Sport Connect! Bought mine on sale for $200 and use it for my Peloton classes. I use a third party app to sync my bike to Peloton metrics.

Bike is normally about $500

Seconded. It's a nice fully body workout. It is a bit on the louder side but not so.loud you can't watch TV.

Peloton. But I’m biased.

Schwinn Fitness Bike, works for my purposes. I pair it with resistance bands for my arms.

I have a treadmill and a rowing machine.

The treadmill is set up so I can read a book or use my iPad/laptop to watch YouTube, Netflix, read dcum, etc. But it is a beast and weighs a ton.

I found the back-and-forthing of the rowing machine too distracting when watching shows but maybe it’s not as bad on a larger TV.

Wahoo Kickr. I put my regular nice road bicycle on it and join group rides via the Zwift App on my laptop .

If you have a concept 2, get the device holder: https://www.concept2.com/product/699. I find it easier to watch on a tablet than trying to watch on a tv

Tonal for strength training

Your basic trifold mat.

Bluetooth speaker.

Look up HIIT and do that for 30 minutes 3x a week is better than any machine.
