Yes, wutter but Georgetown is the only remotely atmospheric part of DC anywhere near the college and then it's a trek to Foggy Bottom to get anywhere else. Or a fun bus. And Foggy Bottom where the only other nearby students are is really soulless.
Newbury Street is a touristy shopping area. So is Georgetown the neighborhood. |
BC has a pretty campus, but it is out in the burbs, far from Newbury St. Georgetown is in a cute urban neighborhood with a lot of amenities right there. No need to trek over to FB. |
| I think Georgetown has a more national and international recognition than BC. And is stronger for certain areas of study (political science, international relations, business, pre-med). |
No, it is not. |
This RWNJ talking point is so tired. Georgetown is more Catholic than any conservative cafeteria Catholic. |
25% of RD were admitted and all applications with stats at or above hers were admitted. So based on these numbers, she has a 100% chance of admission. I say that's warranted!! |
How did she apply to ND and Georgetown REA. Not allowed. Only state schools. |
She essentially just admitted to gaming the college process and being unethical. Shame on you, PP. |
Both GU and ND are non binding so you can apply to both. |
Is this a Catholic school? If not, you know what they say about “assume” —ass-u-me. Anyhow, no need to be so defensive: she got into Georgetown, and you would not want to have thrown that admit away by applying ED2 to BC. She is very unlikely to get into Notre Dame now. Take Georgetown for the win, even if it is not the best fit. |
Hope- totally allowed by both schools. Neither is SCEA. |
+1 |
| Georgetown has prestige the other? |
Both schools are REA (you are not allowed to apply ED to any other school) NOT single choice early action (SCEA -- you are not allowed to apply early to any other private university). |
What an ignorant mass confusion of GU/GW and BC/BU |
