Dropping poop bag in a dumpster

What an odd response. Animal feces actually attracts flies and maggots. We wash our cans out bi-weekly in the summer and some azzhole put poop in it while it was out drying. So entitled.

Please don't tell me some BS facts like I don't know. I have LOTS of poop in my trash every week. Not only from litter boxes and our dogs, but from dogs that come over to play with ours. Perhaps if your can is sitting out for weeks at a time there are maggots and flies. But our trash comes weekly, and some companies bi-weekly. You aren't seeing flies and maggot unless you're not regularly dumping it out.

You wash your cans biweekly? That says more about your OCD than anything. THAT is odd.

I also suggest you look up the word entitled. It's thrown around alot and is not synonymous with "things I don't like."

In some parts of DC they won't take the trash can if there is non-bagged trash in it - at all. We lived on a busy street for years and it was a constant nightmare to have people throw their dog poop bags, fast food, car refuse etc.. into our trash can and we then had to put on gloves and pick it all out and bag it or we couldnt get our trash picked up. Got into a fight telling a guy not to clean out his car into my can one day

I don't make it a regular habit, but there have been occasions when I tossed the poop bag into a dumpster or full trashcan that was left out for pickup.

I have not felt any regret for doing it.

And for those saying they are calling the police, I hope if you do, you at least call the non-emergency number and not 911. I'd also like to know their response when you call.

I'd absolutely call 911. I don't know if you just threw in a bomb or dog shit. I'd share my footage with the police and let them interview you to figure it out.

Similar but not the same. I walk past a public park on my walk with my dog. The park has like eight trash cans. I will toss the poop bag in those trash cans. If people can put their kids dirty diapers and their leftover picnic food in the trash cans, I should be allowed to throw away my dog’s poop bag in it.

+1. I"m a cat owner with no dog (so to speak) in this specific fight, but the stuff that goes in trashcans often will attract flies and maggots if left long enough. Animal waste isn't different than bits of kitchen trash in that respect.
