DS waited 6 hours in line at Paris CDG after wind delays

Anonymous
One time my return flight was cancelled for no reason and I was rebooked on the same flight the next day, so I got a free night in Paris. Luckily my husband had upgraded me to business as a surprise, and I got assigned a decent airport hotel and slightly shorter lines. I ended up only having a few hours back in Paris due to the delays, train ride, etc. but I got to see the Louvre mummies and the Mona Lisa.

The airport was closed.

No flights going in or out weather related.

Calling in or booking online LOL sure when tens of thousands are doing the same.

Find your brain cells people.

OP you are an entitled twat to complain shit happens!

Your kid is an adult and such as should understand weather delays happen and what to do in case of an emergency change.

OP here. I did not help him, he did everything himself. I am very proud of how he navigated everything considering it was his first solo flight, and an international one at that, and he has autism and ADHD, which makes him more liable to misunderstand people or miss things.

Mainly I posted because I can’t believe they made everyone wait in line for 6 hours for free rebooks! This has never happened to me, but then again, I’ve never been caught up in such weather problems.

You should be proud OP. It takes a lot of stamina to stand in line for 6 hours and for a teen to do this because they’re afraid of getting charged more money if they don’t shows he’s both resilient and conscientious. Good job mama

Yes, airlines cancel flights, costing them hundreds of thousands of dollars, for no reason.

There should be strong compensation because of European airline delay laws.

Reminds me of when we got stuck in Germany when that volcano erupted a while back. Total nightmare. Hope your kid is home safely.

Ignore the mean posters OP. Your son did a great job. I would have been stressed as his Mom, so great job to you too!
