For LAC folks, T10s means top 10 liberal arts colleges. SWAP, Bowdoin Wellesley Harvey mudd CMC Carleton |
|
HYPSM always considered in the top 10. But there are at least 25 "top 10s" depending on what publication you read, whom you speak with, where you reside, and what college your kid attends.
|
Just don’t say that any of these (actually, most) are better than those Johns Hopkins and Chicago fake top 10s. If you include SLACs, not sure Johns Hopkins and Chicago are even top 20… |
Ok it makes you feel better |
LOL ! |
Johns Hopkins mom trying to sneak it in next to some of the top schools in the country. Lmao. |
| Sigh… OP has a journey ahead |
Sounds about right. |
Except Cornell is currently ranked by US News above Dartmouth, Brown and Columbia. |
Because you spend all day on this forum and know who is posting by their writing style? Get a life. |
Accurate. Northwesterners usually just say Northwestern. Maybe because they made T10 only a couple years. I think attending an "Ivy" only true for Ag and hotel. CAS kids just say Cornell. |
| Lately, people brag more about the full ride... |
| To me, T10 includes Duke, Western, and Vandy. T15 includes top public’s, including UCB, UCLA, UNC, Michigan, GTech, and UTA. |
As they should, frankly. |
| Full ride at schools that don’t give merit (ivy) just means that your parents are poor. Doesn’t mean you’ve got great stats. |
