| Anyone’s kid accepted to Harvard, Yale or Stanford without an interview? What geographic area? |
Didn’t even know about the Duke video. Oh well …. |
2 days before deadline for all. |
|
I believe last year Yale interviewed a portion (9000ish). So I think that’s the only school, of the ones being discussed here, where the interview invite is a potential data point about the application. But there are always stories of people who get in without an interview at Yale.
Is there any place to get stats on how many folks Princeton, mit or Harvard interview? |
I know for NoVA, Princeton tries to interview all applicants and has been successful in recent years. It comes down to availability of interviewers. |
Harvard tries to interview every applicant . |
| mit? |
Alums got an email asking for our availability early this week so I’d assume you will hear soon. |
| Any Yale interview requests yet in the DMV for RD? |
| Logged in to Harvard application portal and see an interviewer assigned. It says the person will contract to schedule the interview. Are others seeing it as well? |
My DC doesn't see anything about an interview on their Harvard app portal. |
Is it mandatory? Pros and cons? |
By this time last year, my DC already had interview requests from Harvard, Yale, MIT and Princeton. MIT sends the requests out very quickly. Submitted app on the deadline or day before. |
I think they are late this year. ^ Same with my 2024–Penn, Dartmouth, Princeton, Duke, Harvard. I know Penn isn’t interviewing anymore. But my 2026- hasn’t heard from any yet. Submitted late Dec/Jan2. |
DC got Duke interview later in January though. I think 3rd week. |
