Justice Department prosecutors under Pam Bondi were forced to admit that the central claim Trump used to lay the groundwork for ousting Venezuela's Nicolás Maduro was a fiction.

For months, the President has promoted the claim that Maduro was the leader of a drug cartel called Cartel de los Soles. Now, DOJ prosecutors say the organization doesn't exist.

Prosecutors still accused Maduro in a New York courtroom on Monday of participating in a drug trafficking conspiracy but they distanced themselves from the claim that Cartel de los Soles was an actual cartel.

According to the New York Times, the revised indictment claims Maduro ran a 'patronage system' and a 'culture of corruption' fueled by profits from narcotics.

Yes de los Soles is a general term used in Venezuela when referring to high level corruption in the military and government. It's an umbrella term for corrupt networks used by experts to describe deep-seated corruption. It is similar to how people refer to the “deep state” in the US. Will be tough to bring charges against the deep state.

Also what the F. Owning a machine is a foreign country as head of state after being treated by the US is against the law?? I think both of them will be found nit guilty and will sue the US government for millions.

The US cannot be sued in USA unless the US consents.

All these criminals suck. Let them suck in their own countries. As for Trump, he’s the biggest sucker of all time. Ridiculously impressionable and an utter human failure.

The DOJ case rests on proving Maduro is in bed with drug dealers. If they can tie him to criminal behavior from that perspective, they win their case. I mean if she cannot do this, she is dumber than rocks because essentially, he is guilty as hell of this. It's actually not a hard case to prove and to win. It just depends on how incompetent she is I suppose??
