Agree with McDaniel. Also consider Goucher.
University of Maryland, College Park. Seriously apply. Jimenez is a small college where everyone knows each other and the music school is exceptional.

No one ever looks here despite it being very close and really inexpensive, but it's an interesting option.

Temple. Not small but they have great autism support
Is Japanese a deal breaker?
St Joe's

Shenandoah would be great, but they don’t offer Japanese.
Neither does McDaniel. I really think that is going to be the hardest part to fit. I am going to look for you, but I honestly think this unicorn may not exist. |
Scranton or Marshall? Those 2 came up as having a Japanese minor. Marshall is bigger and farther away, but is pretty well known for its support programs.

American in DC has Japanese
I have heard they have good supports You’re going to have to look at the other majors. I had a dancer that needed supports, so we did look into a couple of these and I do know some of them are good in the other areas you mentioned (specifically Shenandoah, which is why I am sad they don’t have Japanese listed) |
Towson has Japanese
Ursinus in PA?
Another one that is a tad further, but maybe unc greensboro? I know their MT program is sought after
How about. UMBC ?
My DD on the spectrum is at UMW and loves it. They have well respected theater and art programs, and a small Japanese program. My DD who has never willingly socialized in her life is out at club meetings 4 or 5 times a week. We are shocked. It has been a perfect for her. Good luck OP. Sounds like several good options to consider.
