What electives are your kids taking in 11th or 12th grade?

It was called Quantitative Literacy when my son took it and it was a math course (and a great elective, IMO). Most people called it either QL or Quant Lit. However, the school website called it "Quantitative Literature." So, so, sad....

There are two different classes now.

Personal Finance is a social studies course:

Financial Mathematics is a math course:

Those are not electives I feel sorry for your kids

My kid also chose an extra AP science for his elective. He’s the kind of kid that came home crying from K about the art assignments. He really really hates arts and crafts.
Kids are different. That’s okay.

DD doesn't have any periods left for electives after Philharmonic orchestra, which she needs to take to be eligible for All-State. She's not happy about that. She blames the double period STEM APs.

Me again. She really wanted to take Creative Writing. Maybe I can sign her up for a Writer's Center workshop or something. Not everything needs to be done in school.
