Ageist comment from co-worker

Op, you are right-that comment was unacceptable and inappropriate. His reaction was also inappropriate. I'm sorry you experienced that. Unfortunately we live in a very ageist society as many of the comments here show.

I hope your coworker spent some time later reflecting on his rude behavior and changes.
