Ski coats for older teen girls?

I was only giving a suggestion on where to look for a winter coat for a teen. I’ve never gone skiing in my life and call any winter coat a ski coat. Obviously this is offensive to people who ski. That mistake won’t happen again. Sorry, ski community. Winter fashion coats are not ski coats. Got it.

Lol. Yeah, there is a difference and I'm the person who said brand is not important. It really is about having a combination of materials and features that support you staying dry and warm (but not too sweaty) for a full day of exercise outside. The features can very according to personal preference. But I believe there's a greater possibility of success if you go looking specifically for a ski parka or coat.

Even if you haven't skied in your life, you should know that any winter coat is not a ski coat. Skiing is exercise and usually a jacket you wear for it is thinner and more sporty, allowing for movement. There are so many everyday winter coats: down, parkas, shorter and longer, all for different purposes and climates. It's the same for any activity, swimming or marathon running, you wear clothes made for it not just random daily wear stuff. That said, nothing's wrong with Hollister -- my teen also wears one to school. If that's too cheap for some, too bad, so sad. You do not want to wear a ski jacket to school with its powder skirt.
