Just let it be. My mother is like this and my DH is always trying to do what you do. Bottom line, she does not have the bandwidth to care about your family at all. She only cares about herself/her adult child living with her and her own problems. It’s not you, it’s her. LET IT GO and enjoy your lovely side of the family.
