I HATE my thinning hair

What is your age in 40s? Did you fit perimenopause and how are your other hormones? This would happen in peri but could also be because of thyroid and other issues

PP is right, just perimenopause would not be the cause of it and there could be something else going on. What medications are you on, OP?

You can get a wig!! Never have a bad hair day again.

I found daily use of collagen, vitamin d, iron and fish oil made my hair fuller. It’s does take atleast 6+ months to notice a difference. If you stop, thinning will continue. Viviscal works also.

If your cat was losing hair in clumps, would you just try to color it? No, you would take it to the vet and figure out what is wrong with it. You are no different. First, check your thyroid and your ferritin levels (not just your iron!) Then start with Nutrafol or take Magnesium, Sea Buckthorn and Vitamin D. Then, go to some site like Musely and sign up for the Minoxidil/Dutasteride combination pill. Since you are in your 40's, they will give it to you. Then watch your beautiful hair come back like it was when you were a teenager. Also, rinse regularly with rice water.

I’ve been looking at toppers blunt, but would rather see/try them in person. Where do you find them?

I would love a good topper. Best place to purchase online?

Wigs are no fun. They all look strange.

Rub a few drops of rosemary oil everyday. I do this often in thinning areas and notice more baby hairs. It takes time persistence and patience.

A friend recommends this and I plan to try it myself: https://a.co/d/dA1ka72

Get a wig. There are a lot of options for white women now and most are affordable and undetectable.

And they are quite uncomfortable to boot.

For those of you who use topical minoxidil, how do you schedule that with drying your hair? Mine has to be blow dried or it looks like junk. Do you just put it on before bed and wash in the AM? I always forget before bed....
