Congrats! you took the risk and invested in yourself. Making student loan payments is never easy, but one can never take away the education you received. Treat yourself this weekend!

Congrats OP!! Just earlier this year, I finished paying off $120K+ loans from business school, all on my own. It was a great feeling. Definitely celebrate.

Anonymous wrote:$66K borrowed, $85K repaid. Couple job losses and three kids and never got a nickel's worth of help(and I made too much to see any tax deduction, believe, I live paycheck to paycheck).

I'm proud but a little sad not to get an email or acknowledgement from SoFi.

I guess that's what I would have Tweeted, but I just don't feel like politicizing these things. But I'm proud of myself.

I actually overpaid and have a credit of 43 cents. FML

Being able to take out a loan is help. You could have worked and paid cash. That's what I did. You got help and called it, 'never got a nickel's worth of help'. There's a list of things/circumstances and people who helped you get where you are, but you don't mention them.
SoFI cares. They are about to offer a different loan to you.
Congrats.

I too worked my way through college. It was not worth the price I paid (sacrificed my early 20s and my sanity). Today I would take out loans and pay them off.

Congratulations, OP. I'm proud of you. You have integrity, perseverance, and self respect. This is a huge accomplishment. Celebrate!

Thank you for not foisting your debts onto the rest of us. I paid off my $17k back in the 90's, about 5 years after graduating. You have my respect and congratulations!!
