I paid off my student loan this week....

$66K borrowed, $85K repaid. Couple job losses and three kids and never got a nickel's worth of help(and I made too much to see any tax deduction, believe, I live paycheck to paycheck).

I'm proud but a little sad not to get an email or acknowledgement from SoFi.

I guess that's what I would have Tweeted, but I just don't feel like politicizing these things. But I'm proud of myself.

I actually overpaid and have a credit of 43 cents. FML

Congrats!!! We see perpetually 2 years away from finishing. lol a few years ago, 2 years was really not realistic. Would be sacrificing for 24 months straight

Now I feel we are 2 years out, but really.

It’s DH’s but the way our life went with trading off breadwinning, it’s “ours.” (Those are nice quotation marks not cheeky ones)

Congratulations, job well done. An increasingly rare person who pays off their debt in a world of freeloaders.

Dear OP,
You did it! We are proud of you. While we enjoyed having you as a customer, we are even more thrilled you are no longer a customer of ours. Congrats and blessings to you in your future endevors!

Take the amount you paid every month and put it in a Roth IRA.
