Again, since you're just repeating what you said before I'll do the same.

USL can definitely outdo both MLS and NWSL. Here's an example, say 20 rich guys are being boxed out of MLS or NWSL by high franchise fees. Whats to stop them from just working together buying all the best talent and out fielding both with higher levels of talent and playing in USL.

Even more scary for MLS and NWSL is once implemented whats to stop EPL from buying out USL.

Americans have no idea what mountains of money with no limitstions can do to soccer.

Again.. can we stick to women's sports for a second? Do you know what the W stands for?

Oh sorry, you must have missed where I wrote both MLS and NWSL.

Oh sorry.. your focus on hockey and football examples threw the discussion off the rails.

I mentioned Hockey and Football examples about leagues being formed, folding and merging because I believe it was relevant to the discussion at hand about having an uncapped league (USL SL) being able to go out and sign whoever they want for whatever they want. It was essentially what was happening with the USFL and WHA....the USFL signed top college talent (Steve Young, Reggie White & others) into their new Spring league and generated some interest. Same with the WHA being able to pull NHL players into their league.

Having recognizable names in that sport generates interest and attracts fans. So, yeah, back to the discussion at hand. What is going to happen with the USL SL? Well, they better have some owners with deep pockets and sign some top female players to draw interest into their league. Because as its been said, having 250 fans at Audi Field isn't going to cut it.

I feel like USL is setting up the platform for someone else to take over. Organic growth would be difficult. But if a league like EPL or even Liga MX wanted to function in the American market buying out USL would be the way to go.

I really don't see USL ever having enough money to lure the top talent. What would be the point of one team with 2 or 3 good players getting big money? Who would they play? Multiple billionaires would have to buy multiple teams. And why? Its a super bad investment and there is already a National platform for the top players....

You could say the same thing about basically every upstart professional sports league. There are many examples of league failures but there are also some spectacular success stories. It always takes initial investment and risk and hoping to catch lightning in a bottle. Never underestimate the number of rich people willing to throw money at owning a sports team. It's an exclusive group and they all want in.

You don't understand. It would be less cost to buy a USL club snd stack it with world class talent than it would be to buy a MLS/NWSL franchise. If they would even sell the franchise to you. So stack the team with talent and taunt other leagues saying that they're afraid to play you. This will also attract other moneybags club owners.

When money is no object people dont want to mess around with existing bureaucracies. Just because they exist.

So you have one good team playing a bunch of low level players because ALL the great players stayed on NWSL? No one wants to watch one team just blast thru all the other teams. This sounds like s really dumb idea.

They scrimmage each other preseason and the NWSL just slaughters USL teams.

They also do friendlies with Mexician teams and college teams like Florida State. (Who I think some NWSL team lost to last year)

The point is that if some really rich person wanted to make NWSL look bad they could just fund a USL team with superstar players. USL has no salary cap so this is completely viable. Think about it, the new Denver NWSL franchise was 110 million. Instead of paying NWSL why not just pay 20 of the top players in the world 1 million each season for 5 seasons on a USL team and beat everyone.

This looks to be exactly whats being setup to occur.

More likely to work fire mens team but when it comes to soccer...Americans dint watch men's soccer.. they have football

U have eggball which is dumb af as u throw it wit the hand. Also, NFL is registered as entertainment org so fixing and rigging games is legal. You’re not watching a serious “sport”
UsOFAmerica is backwards

If you think football at the highest levels in Europe, including England, isnt bent then you are not paying attention.
