NWSL will never be outdone by USL. USL can't get good talen or more than 300 folks to a game.
Again, since you're just repeating what you said before I'll do the same. USL can definitely outdo both MLS and NWSL. Here's an example, say 20 rich guys are being boxed out of MLS or NWSL by high franchise fees. Whats to stop them from just working together buying all the best talent and out fielding both with higher levels of talent and playing in USL. Even more scary for MLS and NWSL is once implemented whats to stop EPL from buying out USL. Americans have no idea what mountains of money with no limitstions can do to soccer.
Again.. can we stick to women's sports for a second? Do you know what the W stands for?
Oh sorry, you must have missed where I wrote both MLS and NWSL.
Oh sorry.. your focus on hockey and football examples threw the discussion off the rails.
I mentioned Hockey and Football examples about leagues being formed, folding and merging because I believe it was relevant to the discussion at hand about having an uncapped league (USL SL) being able to go out and sign whoever they want for whatever they want. It was essentially what was happening with the USFL and WHA....the USFL signed top college talent (Steve Young, Reggie White & others) into their new Spring league and generated some interest. Same with the WHA being able to pull NHL players into their league. Having recognizable names in that sport generates interest and attracts fans. So, yeah, back to the discussion at hand. What is going to happen with the USL SL? Well, they better have some owners with deep pockets and sign some top female players to draw interest into their league. Because as its been said, having 250 fans at Audi Field isn't going to cut it.
