Why haven’t there been food riots yet?

And don’t forget delivery drivers:

Don't understand what this picture means?

It means that many poor people live in neighborhoods without real grocery stores so they eat what's available.

That's true, but what does that have to do with delivery drivers?

The person posting was trying to imply SNAP pays for deliveries. It doesn't. They are misinformed, if not trying to purposefully mislead people.

Maybe try to feed people if you really care about them.

There have not been any riots recently or ever really except J6.

Most SNAP benefits go to red states, and they are spread out enough they can't get to one location to "riot".

Blue states have reserves and will have money for food. Also, they are giving less money to red states (aka welfare states) so they have more money.

You want me to drive to a fly over state to feed them?

Directly from instacart.com:

Currently, customers with a valid EBT SNAP card in every state and Washington, D.C. can use their SNAP funds on Instacart at participating retailers.

Do you really think we do not have people using SNAP here in DC, VA and Maryland?

Who on earth is going to riot??
The children or the elderly or the disabled??
You’ll just see a rise in emergency room visits from elderly/disabled and tired gaunt kids on mondays after a weekend of no food

Correct. For example, while Dominoes Pizza does participate in the “Restaurant Program” of EBT, along with many other restaurants, the program limits EBT to pick-up only.

I figured as much, which is why I was asking. To post that picture is quite dumb, since everyone in the world should be able to tell that it means that a SNAP recipient can buy groceries there.

It only pays for the actual food, not the delivery charge

Let them riot I’m done paying for their lobster. Maybe by December they’ll get an actual job!

Very few states participate. In our area, Maryland is the only one

Virginia has already declared a state emergency, and will use part of the Virginia budget surplus to pay to make up for the loss of federal EBT.

Maryland and DC have not committed to helping folks out.
