| How did you do on FLI and what is considered a good score |
We haven't done FLI yet, and same question - what's considered a good score ? and how important is it for their decision making? |
Same question if anyone has prior admissions experience on FLI scores? |
| I think FLI is just one component of the admissions process. |
| For those who have been through the process: HM is our top choice. When should I write the first choice letter? Now or wait until January? |
|
I heard to wait until December. Certainly 3 weeks before admission release. By January they already know who they’re admitting. Don’t send too soon because they assume you’re still interviewing and touring other places so it would have little worth. Also because they may still be interviewing others.
Long story short, wait until next month. Certainly before the e holidays. They’re my top too. I forgot to send the thank you note. So now I’m extra anxious about the first choice letter. |
| Definitely send it before the holidays. December is busy month but I think schools like to know they are the first choice before the holidays. We sent our first choice letter in early December. |
I assume the timing for middle and high school is a bit later since they’re still waiting on reccs / scores / etc until early January? |
That’s helpful. I thought maybe you had to wait until the official deadline closed (seems like at HM you can still submit documents through early Jan). |
| For HM, there is no need to wait until the deadline closes. I think most schools like to know they are the first choice earlier rather than later. |
