COLA is nit a matter of politics. Congressmen don't go sround the table and decide how much to hand out. You can see the cola cost estimates yourselves, but if your grocery bill went up this year it is probably because you changed your purchasing habits. |
I meant to say your cost of living overall. Any one category may go up or down. But overall costs were flat. We are not experiencing inflation. |

Interesting take on Obama's issues and the economy |
Love Obama or hate him, love the current Congress or hate it, it does not matter, it is about to change!
The American voter has had it. Obama is on the verge of a repudiation of policy and personality not seen in modern times, the guy has made Carter appear successful. If you are a liberal, get loads of tissue on hand, you are in for a rough night November 2nd. If you are a conservative, start chilling the bubbly. Democrats, that expanding beach you think you see is only the tide pulling out just before a tsunami is comes ashore and washes much of the filth from the US Capitol. Those on the left should not worry, we are kind people here on the right. We will help you through this. We will be hiring with the tax dollars we will not have to hand over, we will be purchasing, we will be there, even for you. |
You are going to get half of everything, which means you will get nothing. Blame the Tea Party. |
Yeah, I'm looking forward to bartering chickens for healthcare if Sharron Angle gets her way! |
I would gladly accept a bucket of KFC Chicken over this monstrocity of a bill you call a healthcare plan. If fact, keep the chicken, you can have the entire plan back for free, I do not want it! |
I would accept a popeyes biscuit instead of Cuba style heathcare. |
Angle actually beat the chicken-care woman. Angle's plan is that you don't get healthcare. Unless you are her father, that is. He gets to keep his prescription program. |
Well, this is open enrollment season at your company. Put your money where your mouth is, drop out of the "Cuba" style health care. You can increase your take home pay and afford all of the biscuits you want. |
The healthcare I "recieve" from my employer is part of a compensation package I negotiated when my current employer recruited me. Along with my company car, moving expenses, bonuses, vacation, office staff, cell phone, and other goodies. I had no need for government interference in any of these matters, I am fully capable of negotiating and signing a contract on my own. So mine is far from a "Cuba" style healthcare plan, it is a very good one, which I assume will now be taxed as well. |
