+1 The BOE should make sure that it times its actions so that it has sufficient time to do an adequate search. |
I don’t think there is any public transit at all in Poolesville. |
There is a bus to Shady Grove. |
Way to show your ignorance. Montgomery County doesn't have a grid of public buses that go absolutely everywhere. Most families' kids can't easily take a public bus to their school and would need to get up even earlier than for the schoolbus to take a convoluted route, perhaps with different bus lines. Also, you say kids under 18 and then young adults? Which is it? We're talking about K-12 here. |
The BOE is clearly ok with this or they put a stop to it. |
The point is it is very limited and they’d have to do multiple bus changes if there is even access which could take hours. Not to mention safety issues. |
She’s an elementary teacher and has no clue what goes on at the high school level. |
It was all for show. |
Sadly, I agree. |
Some executive-level staff at central office are agenda-driven, somewhat autocratic bureaucrats, but there are some folks among the line staff who bring more curricular competence, though the constraints under which they work don't let them do as they might prefer. |
There will be no actions and no search. |
The BOE can only put a stop to this by firing Taylor. Otherwise, he is in charge of this rush to programming/regionalization. The BOE will vote on boundaries, but that is different than the regional plan. |
Taylor knows he won't survive the implementation of this plan. He probably is planning to only stay for his four-year contract. He left his last job just as the school district was about to implement his regional programming plan in Virginia. It didn't go so well when he did this in a much smaller school district. |
If that’s what it takes… |
LOL Who told him to hire Essie McGuire? That person wanted Taylor gone day 1. |
