OP thanks Youngkin for the rebate and links to a Youngkin press release that doesn’t mention the General Assembly at all. (Did you even read the press release??) He is obviously taking sole credit for it.

NP. The reason I’m voting for Spanberger, after voting for Youngkin four years ago, is that I’m fed up with MAGA’s bullshit. Spanberger understands the economy is the focus. Sears is rehashing trump’s campaign slogans to focus on culture wars that barely affect most of us. Meanwhile, Trump is trying to kill our economy and Youngkin has cheered him on.

I think the tax rebate is good politics but bad policy. This money should be used to provide long-term savings for taxpayers instead of a short term benefit. This rebate cost the state at least a billion dollars and that could be used to save the state government at least $125 million a year in electricity costs if they invested this into solar panels to offset electricity consumption for state governments buildings instead.
