VA Tax Rebate

I just saw on the news that VA tax payers will be getting a rebate. We're eligible for the full $400 and my 25 year old DS will be getting $200. Thank you Governor Youngkin!

I hear about this on EITM this morning. Trying to find more info, as I swear they said it was actually from the legislature. I guess I could reach out to my friends who are delegates and senators.

If it happens, then both the Governor and legislature would have to approve it. In short, it would have to be a bi-partisan decision.

Still not voting for Winsome. Not a chance in hell.

Yes, it was bipartisan but it's already been decided.

It helps everyone who prefers to decide for themselves how to spend their money over giving to the government to do with it whatever they will.

$400 bones? Awesome!

However it shouldn't have been collected in the first place if it's a surplus.

Wouldn't this be very hard to implement prospectively?

Trumpian tactic taking credit for someone else’s work. Will he sign the check himself like Trump did when the Biden era rebate checks were sent out?
