I just saw on the news that VA tax payers will be getting a rebate. We're eligible for the full $400 and my 25 year old DS will be getting $200. Thank you Governor Youngkin!

Well, at least it'll offset a little bit of the extra money we're spending for Trump's tariffs. |
| I hear about this on EITM this morning. Trying to find more info, as I swear they said it was actually from the legislature. I guess I could reach out to my friends who are delegates and senators. |
| If it happens, then both the Governor and legislature would have to approve it. In short, it would have to be a bi-partisan decision. |
| Good. This will basically offset the car tax we just paid. |

Still not voting for Winsome. Not a chance in hell.
|
| Yeah it will help the rural SW VA people whose hospitals are closing. |
Yes, it was bipartisan but it's already been decided. |
It helps everyone who prefers to decide for themselves how to spend their money over giving to the government to do with it whatever they will. |

$400 bones? Awesome!
However it shouldn't have been collected in the first place if it's a surplus. |
Wouldn't this be very hard to implement prospectively? |
No. |
| Trumpian tactic taking credit for someone else’s work. Will he sign the check himself like Trump did when the Biden era rebate checks were sent out? |
+1 Republicans are so slimy. |
| “Virginia’s strong job growth?” Huh. |
