| Where does this leave good '30 & '31 players who are not currently on BLC. My dd is one of the top players on her team, but that team ranks well below BLC or YG. I'm assuming she has little chance at Capital w/ the BLC news, and it sounds like MD teams don't really add new players. Where else do girls like this try out going into 9th? Her goal is to play div 3 |
| Isn't there only one BLC '30 team: Blue right now? I thought I read on these forums that BLC 30 orange folded because the parent coaches left for another club and screwed those remaining. |
Correct on all fronts. |
That was before this partnership!!! That’s exactly the point. Now, unless there is a real weak link, they will mostly make it. |
| So Capital realized that its current model is unsustainable and expanded to pre-HS, just in an indirect way? I wonder what all the people that went nuts when posters pointed out the flaw in the HS-only model think about the news? |
| BLC seems like the big winner with this news, their tryouts are already packed, this probably gives them the ability to field a third team team at each year assuming they can find enough coaches. |

Don’t be so sure and count the St. James out of the running for capital middle school team.
SJ will be giving parents 10% off in the café and the striders shop. One coupon per parent. How can they say no. |
But that 10% doesn't apply to alcoholic drinks... |
and the only place that sells alcohol is frequently closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. because nobody wants a drink while they watch youth lacrosse on a saturday at 8pm... |
Does the St James have a suggestion box? I'd like to submit these. Parents need a reason to stay! |
They do not take the best girls, look at the current rosters. |
Super loaded statement. Please....share your thoughts. Who hurt your DD |
A step in the right direction but not enough. If I were a top player in the DC area, I’d still rather play for the Baltimore area clubs if I could make it. This benefits healthy baller more than anyone else. |
You are absolutely right. Sometimes they skip over the best players due to other factors. Parents, attitude etc |
Capital doesn't post it's rosters |
