If this incident went down as someone relayed, the parents of the 6th grader absolutely need to press charges. (Recall the incident at BCC several years ago where an older student smashed a chair onto the head of a younger student.) |
This. They are all over this site during election season and it is infuriating. Many of them have no kids in school anymore but just make shit up. My friend is neighbors with Laura Murphy... of ban books fame in FCPS/Va fame. Turns out she hasn't had kids in FCPS for years. Her son is also a MAGAT and was head of the Young Republicans at his college and kept inviting shady right wing speakers to campus. He had to a cancel a few because the uproar. Husband is a MAGAT lawyer. The entire family is avoided by neighbors. Everyone pretends to be nice but cannot stand them. |
Well, not sure I follow the logic. Maybe Moms4liberty is bad. But this is not a lie from them. I am a RF parent and we received the email from the principal. Based on the email, the school notified the police. "Additionally, we informed our Community Engagement Officer (CEO), our MCPS Cluster Security Coordinator (CSC), The City of Rockville Police Department, " |
Yeah, I also received the email and talked to my kid about this incident. It has a very negative impact on my kid (6th grader) who was really looking forward to middle school. |
I can't believe this is being posted when a little girl got seriously injured. |
If a kid is hospitalized after a fight, police are called. That’s the procedure. |
I'd be very worried about having my child at that school.
This wasn't a fight. This was an attack, and I hope those parents press charges and sue MCPS. If the parents are reading this, I truly hope your child is ok, and I'm sorry they/you went through this. There is no excuse for this behavior, and that attacker needs to be thrown out of MCPS, as your child should be safe at school. |
MCPS is only liable for what it could reasonably have done. Need to sue the parents of the attacker |
Strongly agree |
+1 |
Bigger problem than just at Frost: chances are the 8th grader gets transfered to another MS and causes problems there |
Agree with this. It reflects poorly on the school so they try as much as possible to sweep things under the rug. We're not at Frost, but the fights at our MS are appalling and there doesn't seem to be any way for admin to put a stop to the behavior. |
Are you new to MCPS? Or new to MS? There are similar fights at pretty much every MS in this county on a regular basis. |
DCUM doesn’t find that upsetting because the physical aggressor was white. Stop sharing stories that don’t confirm their belief that W feeders were tranquil bastions of education when they were lily-white. Just ask to edit your story so that the physical aggressor is well-melaninated, overage, wearing an ankle monitor, already of mom of two, and possibly undocumented. Then, you’ll have DCUM’s attention. Add that the bad name was the n word before she punched you and DCUM will fist-pump. |
No one cares because it was in early 1980. At least 40 years ago. |
