Elon big decline in enrollment

Anonymous
As a private school with higher tuition, they did not give my daughter $1 of merit $. I don’t feel the prestige is there for that amount of tuition. All the other privates she applied to gave her quite a bit of $. It was the first school to be crossed off her list for this reason.

+1. Winner, winner chicken dinner. The scent of Musk stinks up the college.

Yale? Rutgers? Brown? All tainted names.
None of these names are associated with an unpopular public figure

The whole U.S. student market is going towards the direction of either you go to a T50 national university, or a T20 LAC, or you don’t go at all.

Bullshit unless you’d be willing for your kid to not go at all. Let me guess, when you imagine the kids not going at all they probably go to a different school and live in other neighborhoods. Pathetic, the people that spew this drivel are never willing for their kid to not go.

You can probably Google that once the Fall semester gets going.

It’s in a red state so my kid isn’t applying.

No, PP is right. I don’t agree with it but all the policies this administration supports are designed to do this - maybe not at only the top schools but generally that poor, minority strivers should know their place and that means no college for them. I have nothing against trade jobs, but they want to limit the type of people who go to college 100%.

If anyone wants to know why the left is utterly delusional, read the replies associating declines in enrollment at Elon with Elon Musk...treating the man is if he is Adolf Hitler. The disconnect from reality is simply astonishing.

No, it’s more like if there was an Epstein University. Would be a hard sell right now.

Yup - better send that kid to their safe space so they can't be triggered! lol

So silly. My older DC is headed to an Ivy this fall, but my younger one (rising junior) who does not have the same stats will be going to a SUNY. While I have high hopes he can make it into Binghamton, if not, he'll go to one of the others. Tuition is under 10k. Of course it's worth it for him to get a college degree!

People that support this should say what they really mean. They want T50 for their kid and don’t want anyone else to attain college so that their kid can have more advantages in life. Just be honest folks.

Looks like Biden’s law school Syracuse had a challenging year for undergraduate admissions.

Why would a VA parent send a child to Elon instead of an in state public. That would literally be throwing money away.
