Linkedin posts top college ranking - justice for Babson and Bucknell LOL!

They don't require top grades, test scores, attendance at private feeder schools, or parents singularly focused on achieving admission to an elite college as the ultimate goal. Apparently this ranking values schools that successfully prepare students for careers while remaining open to a broader range of applicants.

Are people not actually looking at the list? 16 of the top 20 are highly rejective schools with sub 10% acceptances.

Only Bentley is really accessible…as UVA is very selective and even Babson only has a 20% acceptance rate while Lehigh is a bit higher acceptance rate (those are the four that aren’t crazy selective).

Again, this list is very similar to WSJ that had Bentley, Lehigh and Babson highly rated.

I was just saying the other day how Babson should be ranked ahead of Stanford if you used the correct methodology.

Whatever LinkedIn used.

You would be hard pressed to find anyone who would pick Babson over Stanford…but they also attract wildly different profiles.

No dog in this fight but no I’m not looking at a chatGPT generated list. That’s dumb.

Don’t see the majority of students or parents touting it as something other than what it is - a top LAC with a solid business majored/department that places well above its small stature. Wall street is full of Bucknell grads, and I’m saying that as a Cornell grad from the 80s. And the ones I know are more loyal than the small nescacs blah blah.

Because they don’t end up in front office jobs, it is a pipeline to the back office. You can see this from the school’s own career services data (which is very detailed) as well as analyses of LinkedIn data that look at this specific question.

Strange that Wall Street journal- which does a similar analysis- doesn’t include these schools. Seems like selection bias.

Which schools? What’s interesting is WSJ also ranks Babson, Bentley and Lehigh very highly…all in top 15.
