MoCo County fair. Good or a disaster?

OMG OMG police are actually doing their jobs... What a horrible thing. Most of them are spending their time eating funnel cakes.

What's wrong with you?

That said, the fair is fun, especially for kids.

What a great description!

Are you expecting a crowd in all white with sweater vests and loafers to an event where the main attractions are carnival rides and games and cars smashing into each other?

I mean it literally is an inland version of the Ocean City boardwalk…or maybe the Ocean City boardwalk is the seaside version of a county fair (not sure which came first).

You’re right. The agricultural fair in one of the wealthiest counties in the country is rife with fighting and drug use.

It’s a grand old time. I never saw any fights or drug use at the county fair. What even are these comments, Jesus

+1
Yep. The rough streets of MoCo. Time to deploy the National Guard.

We spent most of Sunday there. Didn't see anything "rough" at all other than my husband getting a sunburn.

Bunch of people who don't live here are commenting.

And this is in the local politics thread??

Last time I went there were a bunch of BLM signs and I’ll never forget the drag queen parade. Also, the security operations have been transitioned from the MoCo police to violence interrupters.

People really underestimate how hard a goat can pick.

I know this is a joke but I think every single grandstand event would be better with drag queens tbh. Or at least really good drag queen commentators. The demolition derby is already great but drag comedian commentary for it would be perfection.

In fact, this is an amazing idea for the animal classes too. Have two drag queens in a booth like Statler and Waldorf and pipe their commentary to those who want it via those little ear things they have at the us open.

It's expensive - pay to park, pay to get in, pay to do activities (rides and games), pay to eat.

Go during the day, not at night, wander around and see the pig races and other things, you dont have to buy stuff

You don't have to pay to park. There's free parking and a shuttle.
