thanks! I love the MOG dress she picked - but I'd need more cap sleeves and probably not black. |

Something like this would look fabulous!

beautiful dress. I'm more the wine-colored dress myself. |
| Have a plan in case it rains! I attended a similar wedding in Tuscany in October some years ago and it was very soggy. Still beautiful, but they had to move the ceremony indoors and make a lot of changes to the wedding plans as a result of the weather. |
Oh looking for very similar help. Except colors will be darker - green, plum, espresso and events will be outdoors (likely with heaters for October evenings). I at least need a fancy cocktail dress and a full length gown. I've seen several beautiful gowns, rather simple styles. but I'm surprised how many have some sort of glitter (beads, sequins, etc). Need some sort of sleeves, de-ephmasizing chest. Probably in the $600-800 range but price is not a driving factor. |

For an upscale Tuscan wedding, I think going to NYC to shop for a fomal dress that compliments the wedding party attire would be a good idea.
Here i pulled this for you. It's going to be too hard to do online. Remember the bride/family probably will care very much about attractive photos. Key Considerations for the Mother of the Groom Dress: Coordinate, Don't Match: Rather than matching the bridesmaids directly, choose a color that complements the overall theme or a deeper/lighter shade of the wedding colors. Consult the Couple: Ask the bride and groom if they have specific preferences or colors they prefer you to avoid (usually white, ivory, or red). Complement the Mother of the Bride: Traditionally, the mother of the bride selects her dress first, and the mother of the groom chooses a different, complementary color. Popular & Safe Colors: Navy, champagne, blush, silver, charcoal, plum, or emerald green are excellent choices that are elegant and photograph well. Consider Venue and Time: The formality and time of day should dictate the dress style and color, with darker, more formal tones for evening weddings. +6 Ultimately, the goal is for the mother of the groom to look elegant, comfortable, and coordinated with the bridal party without wearing the exact same attire. +1 |
This gold dress could be perfect and it's made to order. Tasteful mother of the groom and the color would complement the pale yellow bridal party. i like the built in cape. The october evenings were chilly in Tuscany. The days could be hot though. |
I donโt love the cape and I think itโs way too yellow for a formal wedding in October but I love the silhouette of the dress. |
What does โgoing to NYC to shopโ actually mean in this context? |
