An uptick does not mean a surge as OP is freaking out about. It’s normal for viruses to have ebbs and flows throughout the year. |
| End of aug. |
Last years vax still offers protection, at least 4 months. There is a surge coming, strain that is a bit more infectious, so I’d get it. With so many if the population unvaxxed, or unboostered, it could be a problem. |
RFK jr is not allowing this to happen Wake up |
My understanding is that last year's vax is not matched at all with this new strain. So is there a new strain vax or not? No one knows? |
Source? |
There most certainly is, but why you aren't hearing about it is this has all been squashed by the CDC. No reporting. We are relying on independent waste water data. https://news.northeastern.edu/2025/08/01/vaccine-razor-blade-covid-2025-summer/ |
Using a Sharpie to change or obliterate data does not cause the situations described by the data to go away. We have now seen Trump attempt this with: -weather data -infectious disease data -economic data Don’t be the know-nothing who thinks that no or positive-sounding data from govt means there is no issue. Confirm. |
| Who gets the flu shot when school starts? Is it even available then? |
| Covid is going around. By the time it’s released there will be a new strain. |
Exactly what I said, and yet you are, what, arguing my point with my point? Huh? |
Yes. Usually available in Sept. Covid shot are also available in Sept usually. |
Huh? We get it every Sept. |
| I usually wait for October to get the flu shot so I’ve got coverage from it later into the winter. Am getting the Covid shot soon even though it isn’t updated because it’s been a year and I’m about to go on a cruise. I probably won’t bother trying to get the updated one later, but would rather have some vaccine protection than none now. |
NP. Our pediatrician typically recommends waiting until October. |
