| I call my mom about 3 times every week. My daughters call 1-2 times per week but texts almost everyday, sons call once a month and text 1-4 times per week. |

| DH's mom was overseas but called once or twice every day and often at odd times like while he is in meetings, driving, having sex etc so no boundaries. It would've been okay if he was an only child but she has 5 more, including daughters in same country. |

Don't think about what you "SHOULD" do -- that's a game you can't win. What do you WANT to do? Do you want to talk with them more often? Then prioritize it. If don't don't want to ... then don't worry about it. I don't see your parents calling you. SHOULD they? Or do you WANT them to? Don't get stuck thinking about what should be. Think about what you want to be. |

This makes no sense. How would your MIL know when your DH was having sex? or driving? or in a meeting (not at work, in a meeting)? She just calls. Sound like the problem is on your DH's end, picking up the phone waaaay too often. |

| I talk with them every 1-2 weeks. I see them maybe 5-6 times a year, including a longer stretch where I go to help out and spend from 2-4 weeks with them. |

| I probably talk on the phone with my mom 1-2x a week these days and a few texts a week, more if there's a particular situation, which there is quite often at the moment. I used to visit 2-3x a year but now I go approx once a month for 2-3 days. Longer if needed. |
